Danger Zone

It turns out Robot Kenny Loggins is really creepy.

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about the aftermath of the last comic. Namely, how significant Gray’s wound is. Recall that this is taking place in Heaven, and as you would expect Heaven has excellent universal healthcare — sort of like Canada — so don’t cry over Gray’s leg. As today’s comic shows, he’s got much bigger problems.

True story, when I was around ten or eleven my Mom and I crashed at my Aunt and Uncle’s place for a weekend while they were away. They had an alarm system for the house and on our way in that first night my Mom forgot the code and the alarm went off. It took her maybe ten minutes or so to find out what it was to shut the alarm off.

Ten minutes later I was getting into bed while my Mom talked to me about something (ok, she was probably reading me a bedtime story about butterflys or something) and all of a sudden she gasps. I look out the window and there are five or six men outside in the backyard with flashlights moving in on the house.

My first instinct? Same as Gray’s. The men lurking outside? The cops responding to the alarm. My Mom? Felt great knowing her only son was there to protect her … by hiding under the sheets.

My mother still to this day reminds me of my “heroism” that night.

Fun time: if anyone can guess what the next comic is titled I’ll buy you a beer.
