Reposted from Tuesday.
As many of you know I am a strong supporter of the arts. Particularly when they involve full frontal nudity and/or hot girl-on-girl action. Well, by “particularly” I mean “exclusively”.
However, in the hopes of bettering myself — which is hard to do because of how hard my basal level of rocking is — I’ve expanded my artistic awareness to include smaller, less nude, theatrical production. One of which is Jacqueline Goldfinger’s play “the terrible girls”.
Contrary to what you’d think from the title, no, this isn’t a play about all my ex-girlfriends, rather, it’s a funny, creepy, not-too-long play about a couple of really screwed up Southern girls, and some terrible things that they do. Southern Gothic, I believe the genre is called. Super Cool, is what I declare.
The point, which I’m moving ever so slowly towards, is that Jackie’s play has been selected for production at the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival in Manhattan. Awesome indeed.
BUT, like all things awesome, there is also a problem. You see, the exorbitant production costs of the production are not fully covered by the festival, and so Jackie need to pony up some cash to get the production set. Being a starving writer, that’s a pretty tall order. And that’s where we can help.
Jackie is accepting donations to help make her play a reality. She’s not asking for much and graciously accepts anything she can get. I, for example, gave her $10, because I’m cheap, but having done so I feel completely fulfilled knowing I’ve helped make a fellow writer’s dream come true. It’s a good feeling which I’ll probably milk for the rest of the year.
If you’d like to feel that way too, or if you’re just a better person than I am, you can PayPal a small donation to jacquelinegoldfinger@yahoo.com, which she will greatly appreciate.
For more information on Jackie, her play, and how frickin’ awesome she is you can go to her website at www.jacquelinegoldfinger.com.
So support the arts (by giving money to Jackie)!
