Cherry Kisses
Today’s comic is entirely the creation of Alana’s mind.
You might be wondering what kind of thought process goes into something like this, well let me tell you. We were talking about awesome SNL skits, probably Dear Sister or Body Fusion, and she was saying how her favorite skit is the one with Fred Armisen and Scarlett Johansson sell chandeliers. Then she remembered that her other favorite SNL skit is the one with Fred Armisen as a parrot. She then told me I should have a pet introduced into Angel Ants (because they’re hilarious). Rachel and I had previously discussed having an LOLCat of some kind as a pet. Or possibly a giant Lion or Tiger or something. As it turns out, a feline was not funny enough for Alana, and so she suggested the pet should be … wait for it … a pie! Ok, so that’s pretty friggin’ funny.
Yet still, I was hesitant. How, I thought to myself, would I be able to adequately sell the hilarity of a pie as a pet. Fortunately Alana had an answer for that. “It gives me cherry kisses.” Just like Matt’s “He said there would be honey” line, I had no choice but to use it.
